Mission Spotlight: TheHopeLine

Kingdom Capital Fund multiplies gifts to support Christ-centered ministries at home and abroad that are making a real difference. Thanks to our generous supporters, this impact includes life-saving guidance and emergency counseling from TheHopeLine for young people.

Every year, millions of young adults  struggle with mental health challenges, like anxiety and depression, that cause them to feel hopeless. Their crises include things like confronting addiction, suicidal thoughts, and a sense of isolation to name a few. During these critical moments, TheHopeLine provides a  safe, online space staffed by trained Hope Coaches who provide much-needed support. What sets TheHopeLine apart from other helplines is a significant distinction — introducing those in their care to the joy of Christ!

Imagine a teenager, weighed down by the burdens of life, reaching out through text, saying, “I want to kill myself.” TheHopeLine professionals respond in three steps: they address the immediate crisis, show unwavering care, and share the boundless love of God.

This transformative process plays out often, including nearly 20,000 one-on-one chats in 2023, with each interaction providing a ray of hope into the life of a young person yearning to be  heard, understood, and prayed for during their toughest times. Hope Coaches are available for life-saving conversations 24/7, and the service is free. More than 1-1 conversations, the website also includes helpful resources videos, blogs, and Bible verses targeted for suicide prevention, relationships, trauma, and addiction.

Thanks to generous supporters of Kingdom Capital Fund, we’re able to multiply gifts to support TheHopeLine. Their work saves lives and shares God’s love to young people in need, bringing hope and healing to youth around the world.
