Continuing to Care for Ukraine in a Time of Crisis

Last year, Kingdom Capital Fund started the Care Campaign as a response to the humanitarian disaster unfolding in the Ukraine as a result of the Russian invasion. Our community embraced the opportunity and responded with overwhelming generosity. We’re humbled to report that the Care Campaign has received over $340,000 in donations and distributed more than $270,000 of those funds to front-line ministry partners and churches.

Together, Arise! Ukraine, Josiah Venture, and First Baptist in Wroclaw and Chelm, Poland are using the donations to provide much-needed spiritual care and material support for displaced families, women, children, the disabled, and soldiers. Other organizations supported include Trinec Church in the Czech Republic and Global Trust Partners. We’re offering much needed ongoing support while discerning along with our partners the most pressing needs.

For instance, last winter one of our dedicated ministry partners delivered care packages and spiritual encouragement to kids and families near the front lines. The packages included Christmas gifts, power banks for when electricity would go out, toiletries, warm clothing, hand warmers, and other necessities, as well as fun treats for the kids.

The children were so accustomed to the war that they completely ignored the nearby sound of artillery fire. Instead, the care packages provided a brief respite from the conflict, allowing them to be “smiling and happy… able to distance themselves from the sad reality around them for just a moment,” according to the delivering missionary. Creating such moments is an impactful way to demonstrate God's love and open opportunities to share the gospel.

These stories of hope and help only scratch the surface of the powerful impact your gifts are making. Your continued prayers and support are invaluable as we use these funds to minister to physical needs and share the message of God’s love in this war-torn country.
