Transforming Lives with Daily Bread

At Kingdom Capital Fund, we are committed to supporting organizations around the world that create life-changing impacts. One remarkable example is Theresa's House, a Christian non-profit in the Congo dedicated to housing and educating children orphaned by the wars and poverty in the country.

A few years ago, Theresa's House had a vision to establish a bakery within their orphanage. The goal was twofold: to teach the female students a valuable trade for their future success and to provide them with an opportunity to earn income and save for a better future. We partnered with Theresa's House by offering a matching gift for the project, which was doubled by generous donations from other supporters.

We are thrilled to announce that the bakery, named Daily Bread as a reference to the Lord's Prayer, is now open and the students are enthusiastically learning the art of baking. The walk-out basement of the two-story building serves as the bakery, where the girls are mastering the art of creating a wide range of delicious treats, from pastries to pizzas. On the second floor, there is a street-level dining area where they learn valuable business skills by selling their baked goods to local customers.

But the impact of this project extends beyond the bakery and the girls' skill development. The boys from the orphanage also played a vital role in constructing the building, honing their construction skills and gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Daily Bread is not just about providing physical sustenance; it also symbolizes our spiritual need for connection with our Lord, Jesus Christ. Customers visiting the bakery can enjoy daily devotionals while savoring the delicious baked goods.

By equipping the young adults graduating from Theresa's House with valuable trades, we are empowering them to support themselves and navigate a world where they are vulnerable to exploitation. Our matching partnership with Theresa's House has made a significant investment in the future of numerous young individuals as they grow in their faith and build stable futures as independent adults. We are grateful for your continued prayers and financial support, which make projects like these possible.

Together, we are transforming lives and bringing hope to those in need. Thank you for joining us in this important mission.
