“I had to kill the two main things that I love in my life to experience this next level with God. Those were my sales career—which I still love to this day, and my house in Montana. When I sacrificed those two things, it became an open door to freedom for me. That doesn’t mean you have to quit those things, but ask yourself how you can hold on to them loosely in this life. I think that’s the main message God wants me to carry.”

What do the auto industry and childcare have in common? For Barry Termatt, it's helping people find their way through emulating Christ. After over a decade in auto sales, his faith inspired him to shift gears and serve with Compassion Childcare—and help make a difference in the lives of families in need. Now, business isn’t just good—it’s God.

“I look at God like a big family businessman. He loves his family, he takes care of his family, and they all have a work to do. They all have a role to play, but his job is to really find their specific roles, and that's what our job is as parents. And that's what Brooke and I have chosen as our vehicle through which to do that. It can be anything you want to do as your family. Ours is business. It's what we talk about and think about a lot, we enjoy it a lot.”

What if your entire family was pointed towards the same vocation? For Jeremy Brown, ministry isn’t separate from life. It’s a calling that his whole family, including his wife Brooke and five sons, lives out together. Jeremy and Brooke find that their greatest joy comes from preserving family legacies and sharing truth-filled stories that impact generations. 

“There seems to be a hunger all over for the gospel,” shares ministry partner Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).“Our flag football programs this fall were at record numbers and our huddles are almost all at all time highs.”
