Event Recording: Let God Do The Heavy Lifting

“I’m a steward with responsibilities. I’m not an owner that has any rights. I’m God’s servant, and I need to be a good steward with what God has given me.”

Alan Barnhart shares what can happen when a business leader fully surrenders their company, and their life, to God. Through stories of faith, generosity, and stewardship, Alan  challenges us to rethink our definition of success.

Here are some reminders from Alan:

We’re Not Built to Live the Christian Life Ourselves

The Christian life was never intended to be lived through our own strength. God doesn't call us to simply try harder or do better. He calls us to depend on Him completely. True transformation happens when we recognize our need for God and invite Him into every aspect of our lives and businesses.

Following Jesus is a Full-Time Ministry

Few of us will get our paycheck from a charity or church, but all of us should be using our skills and gifts full-time to serve God. God has uniquely equipped each of us with gifts, talents, and influence.

Whether you're leading a company, serving customers, managing employees, or making decisions behind the scenes, your work can become an act of worship and a platform for ministry.

Everything Belongs to God

Everything has come from God and ultimately belongs to him. Our time, our businesses, our finances, and our possessions have been entrusted to us for a season. The question isn't, "What can I do with what I've earned?" but rather, "How can I faithfully steward what God has given me?"

Business Success Could Be Detrimental to Your Life

“It’s hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.” Jesus often warns  about wealth because money has a way of competing for our hearts. He reminded us not to store up treasures on earth, but to invest in what has eternal value.

A Different Definition of Success

Alan's message was a powerful reminder that success in God's economy looks different. It's not about ownership, it's about stewardship. It's not about accumulation, it's about generosity. And it's not about building our personal kingdom, it's about faithfully using everything God has entrusted to us for His glory and the good of others.
